Disaster Preparedness

Our goal is to provide you with an easy to use resource with information that you will find helpful when preparing for a natural disaster.

Things to keep in mind:

Company Moratoriums

Leading up to and following a natural disaster, insurance carriers can freeze your ability to secure coverage. These moratoriums can be put into place days before a natural disaster is expected and it can remain in place days, weeks and sometimes months after the disaster has subsided. If you have any concerns that you may not be adequately covered, please call our office immediately.

Waiting Periods

Please remember that some policies, such as Flood Policies, can have 30 day waiting periods. There are few exceptions to this, such as when coverage is needed for a mortgage loan closing.
